A broken nose is the least the guy deserved for throwing beer on Nzoric's woman.
The part that would worry me is that Nzoric would be the one to be arrested then, if anyone were there to see it, not the beer-pourer, so it's more trouble than it's worth. But I wouldn't have put up with the leering shit in the first place :shifty:

The bar owner pretty much decides who gets charged with what, since he is the guy policemen usually consult after a fight. The beer thrower got arrested - Connections Kate, connections :p

But that's besides the point, I still don't get the feminist outlook on things. Automatically degrading a member of the female sex because you step in at a situation where she is clearly overmatched physically . That's right, you can't take care of yourself because you weigh 60kg, regardless of sex.

I doubt police around here would give a shit about that. I am surprised to hear the beer thrower actually got arrested, as I wouldn't see that as an arrestable offense...
No he got arrested for brawling in the bar :)

Ah, ok, brawling makes sense.

But as to the first, of course that's fine to step in, but why not leave instead of fight? It's the violence part that gets me.

Well here fighting will never get you arrested anyway.

And even if she could, how pathetic would it be for you to stand there and just watch it happen?

Because I felt like staying. Why should a moron force us to leave when we've done nothing wrong? It should be the other way around. Naive as it sounds.

Risa will probably think of me as a neanderthal but I can't do that. Imagine the scene where your girlfriend is fighting some dude and you're just sitting in the bar sipping a beer and watching whats going on. I can't even do that if it's a male friend.

>>Dude, aren't you going to help her?

>>Nah, she can handle herself.

I agree you shouldn't have to, the management should remove the person causing the offense (especially as it seems this person was cruising for a fight anyway), but I'd rather have to go somewhere else than risk violence to either myself or my partner. But then I don't think I have ever been in a bar where there's been a fight, I don't think I've ever seen an honest fist fight in my life.

It's a pretty common occurence at the places I frequent.
And I understand your argument, but I just can't think like this: "So this sorry excuse for a human being has been rude to her all evening, he's given me the shoulder a couple of times, now he spilled a beer on her and is pushing himself against her - I should probably leave this and just get our coats / jackets" .

That may very well be a big flaw, but then again - but I'd lose self-respect if I did what I described above.
