Well, in that case, use this lame, most arbitrary and most nonsensical reason for celebrating and take advantage of some hot, drunk and willing ladies. :eyebrows:
Now you're talking. :D

Most NYEs I can remember, or are worth remembering, involved plenty of that. That honestly should be the official celebration of the holiday:

Loose, Hot, Drunk, Willing Ladies Day. :weee:

well, during communism, some of us had to have a religious-free, safe, alternative to Christmas
But at least the communist Chinese tied their New Year to something far less arbitrary and flawed: a new moon.

I think it is fun to celebrate it but the fact that one has to do something special makes it lose the whole meaning. Overrated is the right word here.

Oh yeah, I don't actually hate the day, I hate the whole world trying to persuade you and pressure you into making it the best day in the year for yourself.

Or just as bad here: everyone pressuring you to make some big event out of it, so they can gouge you for it by charging ridiculous prices for the evening. :disagree:

I'm having second thoughts about going out on Hogmanay.

It's just an excuse for a piss up and, frankly, I don't need an excuse. I'd rather go out on another night when town won't be as busy or as overpriced.

That said, I'll probably still end up going out.

So its safe to say that if you were to donate blood they would get alcohol instead.:D If it weren't for my mate inviting me to come over to his place i wouldnt bother going out.

Two years ago spent over 10k on new years day, that will never happen again!

I don't drink that much (for a Scot), it's more to do with my physique.

And did you get value for money on the 10k?
