I think that there is a tendency, for the golden ball winners, to be awarded with a year delay...
And Totti is indeed the reason why Roma avoided to bring any serious goalscorer (Bar the old Batistuta), because Totti wanted all the glory for himself and a scoring machine would threaten his "fortitude", i suspect this was a reason DP was in the Italian NT, as long as Totti was present, despiting they are a different type of players...
As for Totti's admiration on Ibra, what can i say, i think he admires him, because Ibra has what Totti doesnt !
