Yeah seen it. Did you know it only relates to Hungarian and the both of them don't relate to any other European language whatsoever? Freaky stuff...
I know but they say that they don't understand each other at all. Erik, I am a language freak as well, even though I have only four languages under my belt. I wish I can achieve more and I always try to at least get to be able to distinguish the language even if I don't know what it is.

I know. It fascinates me to no end if I can't identify a language I hear around me. I've been known to approach people on the tram or the street just because it's eating me up inside that I can't identify what language they are speaking

My first experience liek that I was on a bus from Brussels to Sweden. There were five poeple sitting infront of me, drinking and having fun and speaking a language that was not French but so close to French. It bothereed me so much and I really wanted to know what are they speaking. I didn't want to speak with them at first because they were sort of partying on the bus, but then the curiosity won over the shyness and I asked. They were Romanian and it was the first time I learn that Romanian is the fifth language originating from Latin.

It's easy to learn Romanian. Specially If you know French. It's also close to Italian.
