He'd be happy to move here. But should we risk another season? Of course, at 33 he'd give us years of service if it worked out. Exciting prospect AvB, but I'm on the fence. Capello just seems like a safer bet to break this free fall.

He might be happy to move here, the fans might be excited to have him here but will the board even approach him?

Capello or Spalletti for Juventus

Gigi Del Neri will remain in charge of Juventus until the end of the season, but reports suggest the club will then move for Fabio Capello or Luciano Spalletti.

Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home to Bologna was Juventus' second in a row and leaves the Old Lady seven points adrift of the fourth and final Champions League spot.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta acknowledged that everyone is now “under examination”, but Del Neri in particular is up for review.

This morning's Tuttosport claims Pavel Nedved was even sounded out as a prospective caretaker manager, but said 'no' to the opportunity.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Del Neri's only chance of surviving is to win 10 of the 11 remaining games and qualify for Europe.

Otherwise, Juventus President Andrea Agnelli will contact his old friend Capello and ask if he is prepared to extricate himself from the England job a year before Euro 2012.

It's thought that Juventus would also have to move quickly to lure Spalletti away from Zenit St. Petersburg, as the Russian season starts in the middle of March.

Other candidates include former captain Antonio Conte and Andre Villas Boas, a former assistant of Jose Mourinho's who is yet to suffer a League defeat in charge of Porto this season.

Villas Boas would be sweet, but we'll take the Italian route again. Spalletti will probably take charge as the recycling of mediocre coaches continues.

He would be, Mr. Weatherman, but as exciting a prospect as he seems, I'd wait on him coz he can't even speak the language - communication would be important from the get go. Not the only reaaon though, but that's also why I'd prefer a Capello, Lippi, Ancellotti, coz they could hit the ground running knowing the culture not just of the league but more importantly, the club. AvB for the new PROJECT, a year from now. For now, just someone who can set the team up for success by bringing back that mentality and the players fit to play in the club.

i will be honest with u i can live with another capello stint but i seriously cant stomach spalletti on juve's bench for me he is not an upgrade to what we have.
Just remember Capello wouldn't have 1/4 of the quality he had at his disposal back then not to mention that he can't request certain players that would cost well over 25m like he could under the triade. He did bring us results but our players were winners, they had grit & determination, so Capello didn't exactly have a tough time trying to get the team to tick. If we get Capello now, we'll be stuck in a shit storm playing boring long ball football with Iaquinta trying to flick the ball forward like Ibra did, no thanks.

fair points B, although i doubt cap would come with out the board giving him guarntee's that quality players will be at his disposal. also with capello i feel we can attract quality players too his name is not a small name and he kind of guarntees some sort of discipline and success. lets be honest B i think any top class manager would need a totally different squad if he is to work with and thats exactly what we need. i mean some sort of manager who does'nt take non sense from the board. i,e like secco did witrh dd when he got him tiago when dd did'nt ask for him etc

Nedved, he definitly is. His Uruguay side played very good football in every match at the WC. The man has got natural class, when you have him and on other side Delneri yelling Milos, Milos, Milooos like a mentally ill you definitly know who the proper coach is.
The awesome thing about him that he sets his formation and tactics based on the team he's facing. Just look at how many formations Uruguay played with under him, genius.
