No. Great Managers are able to adapt to certain situations.
but not all stubborn managers are great
in my opinion i think a good manager is one who is stubborn with his view on footie bec he believes in it but in the same time has the flexibilty to bring about changes in tactics and formations as the need arises specially during games. thats sth we dont see with del neri or ranieri.

capello is a special case bec capello sets everything properly from the very start and lets not forget teh huge difference in squad quality between any of his squads and the current juve squad.

also lippi sure his second stint with the auzzuri was a night mare and he was not flexible at all and become more stubborn amidst pressure from the media over his call ups but still he was flexible in the sense he had a tactic and formation according to the scenerio the team is in.

thats what we really miss in this current juve, a manager who has a view about footie but also takes risks during games to bring about a positive result

i'm watching the show down to manures game and u can see how dd for instance changed his starting line up and formation to handle united that is sth we dont see very often in the current juve managers. its 4-4-2 regardless of who is the opponent or who the players are there is no plan B at all. add to that pretty suicidal subs that take place during the game instead of surprising the opponent with a change in formation or tactic.

Are you tryin' to tell me Lippi isn't great?
nope i dont think thats what bozi meant, i think if i understood him right that being stubborn like capello does'nt always work out for other managers example del neri who is stubborn and sticks to his 4-4-2 or like ranieri. so being stubborn does not necessairly make u a great manager.

Mourinho's buddy André Villas Boas is doing some great job for Porto right now. He worked for Mourinho in both Chelsea and Inter and now he beat Mourinho's record for most matches unbeaten with Porto. Could be interesting..
