This has been on my mind for a while now.Ive spoken to people who think a legend is someone who spent most of his career at Juventus and served the team with loyalty, and ive come across people who think that a legend is someone who regardless of how much time he spent at the club, was outstanding in his performances for the club.If we go by the first defination, then players like Birindelli,Tacchinardi,Pessoto should classfiy as Juventus legends. But they were no world beaters,or where they?If we go by the 2nd defination, then can we classify players like Emerson or Cannavaro as Juventus legends? They were not at the club for long, but they put in outstanding performances day in and day out.Similarly, players like Boniek and Liam Brady are regarded as Juventus legends(Im judging this solely on the reason that they are included in the history section of the forums),but do they deserve the 'Juventus legend' tag attached to them?Roberto Baggio is another name that comes to mind.He was a great performer, but do his pro-fiorentina actions merit him a place amongst Juventus legends? Then there is the group of players that left the club after the demotion last year, and it included Zambrotta, who was by that time, regarded as a Juventus legend. Will his departure from the club when it needed him most still make him a Juventus legend?

Id like opinions on what the defiantion of a Juventus legend is.

Plus,id like to know if the players mentioned below classify as Juventus legends.Dont go into details.Just answer in a yes or no.

2)Boniek
3)Liam Brady

Theres a thin line between being loyal and a legend..

I think performance, and passion from a player plays a big role. I mean what the fans would class as legend may not be exactly what the pundits class as a legend for the club. Sometimes a player can stay a few seasons yet make a massive impact, so much that his regarded as a legend. It all depends on what club you are playing for.. at Juve the legendary status is certainly hard to achieve. A juve legend is one who certainly wins and plays with his heart. One who as soon as you see, you feel that he breathes, sleeps and lives juve.

1)Cannavaro - Absolutely not.
2)Boniek - Yes (never saw but Polish friends assure me he was sweet as..)
3)Liam Brady - No, Arsenal Legend though..
4)Tacchinardi - No, I like him though..
5)Pessotto - as above
6)Birindelli - as above
7)Vialli - For Sure!!
8)Roberto Baggio - Yes though he is just a Legend full stop.
9)Deschamps - Yes.
10)Davids - No.
11)Sousa - No.
12)Trezeguet - Yes.
13)Emerson - WTF! No.
14)Thuram - No.
15)Zambrotta - Yes I think so..
16)Torichelli - No. But for nostalgia reasons I would like to say yes..

So I guess for a player to be a Juve Legend you have to instantly associate them with Juve above and beyond any other club they have played for..
Players who are more synonymous as individuals/national team players; Davids, Thuram or Canna don't count. Nor do players who moved on to more acclaim elsewhere like Pippo who has truly found himself at ACM even before last night.

Tacchi should be one I guess but has he ever been good enough to be described as a Legend?
So I guess there are three distinctions (borrowing from Espectro), Legend, Juve Legend and Juventino..

Nice question though, wasted a good few minutes at work.. Thx!
