"According to Arab Press Freedom Watch, the current regime has one of the worst records on freedom of expression in the Arab world."

"While there is no official state religion, the Constitution requires that the president be Muslim and stipulates that Islamic jurisprudence is a principal source of legislation"

Jolly nice country it seems. One of those that need another 50 years.
Silly me, I should have known.

Did you hear about that Italian woman who wanted to "prove" to the world that the Middle East is really a very nice and friendly place so she undertook this journey from Italy to Egypt I think. It was supposed to last a couple of weeks. And then she got killed (I don't know why) in Lebanon or something.

What are you trying to say? That Middle East is not a very nice and friendly place? For this you need to know WHY she got killed.

Well, when I say "Middle East" I was talking about the territories that are embroided in armed conflict, that is Israel and Lebanon a while back. So what she was trying to prove that it's not a war zone or anything, you can safely travel there and have a good time. Which is a puzzling attitude to have about a region at war, but then it had a tragic outcome.

Almost all countries in the region are backwards. It's as if time has stopped over there. Add to that that they are now confronted with things such as the internet and you have a very odd situation. Look at DelPieroForLife. He has got a degree, he has studied, but he is not able to have an opinion based on arguments. All he does is repeat the same crap that has been fed to him for years. This kind of mutilation does not correct itself so easily. It will haunt him for the rest of his days.

You said Middle East in general and you even mentioned Egypt. But she was killed in Lebanon which is in war and this only means that the woman was terribly dumb. War zones are obviously not nice and friendly places but it's like someone traveling to Europe in the time of World War, getting killed and then you conclude that Europe is not a nice and friendly place.

The story was that she was going from Italy to Egypt iirc, so right through the most troubled regions.

You're reading too much into this, I did not impune the Middle East as a whole for being hostile. The truth is in our media "the Middle East" has no definite meaning, most of the time they're talking about Israel<->Palestine. In this case Lebanon included since they also had military conflict.

And yes, the fact that the woman was dumb was the point of the story, not the Middle East being evil.

How is it not? You said that the only way to understand that the quote was about relativity is that you must know about angels. And I don't know anything about angels, I don't believe in them.
Where did I say you have to know about angels? we are talking about something ascending in a very high speed changing the way time pass from its perspective.

You don't have to believe in Angel to understand it.

But it did not even mention speed. And then you said it was about angels. I don't want to talk about angels anymore than you, but you were the one who mentioned it.

How could I possibly miss those posts.

Son, Big Bang theory was first discussed at 1912.

    Mohammed died at 632.

Mentioning it 1300 year earlier deserve no credit now  :D
No, what Muhammad said right there was not the Big Bang theory. It was a theory alright, but something very different. You'll find that the origins of that theory are Greek.
