Why can Joseph be wrong and Mohammed can't be right is beyond me.
You don't understand. That's not what I said. Again, two possibilities:

1) Joseph is wrong. Muhammad MIGHT be right, but you have to acknowledge the fact that it is easy to lie. Because Joseph did. And people believed him.

2) Joseph is right, Islam is wrong.

And saying that the Sun moves is not revolutionary. Everyone used to say it did.

Talk about cynical historians pffft :p
Well, i might be pessimistic about it, but the differences are too big right now.
When i say "changes" i mean Ze's and DPFL's kids/grandchildren changing, because i think that's what will happen. But i'll be more smart and i'll leave space for the second option which is "my kids or my grandchildren becoming muslim because they realized Islam is the true religion and everything said in the Qoran, and the story behind the Qoran, was correct".

Or am i being too optimistic now and i should go 2-3 generations after our grandchildren? :D

I'll list examples and we can discuss them one by one, OK?

1) 38- And the Sun moves on to its destination. That is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knower. (36-Ya-Seen, 38).

For a long time in the past men thought that the earth was stationary and that the sun revolved around the earth. Later Copernicus, Kepler and Galileo postulated the theory that the sun was stationary and that the earth revolved about the sun. How did Mohammed know that 1500 years ago?
Sun moves my friend. It is 2009 and you don't know a thing Mohammed knew about 1500 years ago.
This guy's an idiot, Alen.

DPFL, Muhammad was right about the easy part. And he was right for all the wrong reasons. He wasn't right because he thought they both moved, he was right because he thought the earth was stationary. But it wasn't.

Now the Big Bang:

2) 30- Do not these disbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, which We then split, and from water We made all living things? Will they not believe even then?
21-The Prophets, 30

How can Mohammed even imagine that?

He didn't say Earth is stand still you dumb.

3) 88- When you look at the mountains, you think that they are standing still. But they are moving like clouds. Such is the artistry of God, who disposes of all things in perfect order. He is indeed fully aware of what you do.
27-The Ant, 88

Yes, I have to say, I'm the one getting owned in this thread. You've written five pages of bullshit and you've been cornered by me every single time. You even left out the Joseph Smith question, because you know it can't be answered. Checkmate, friend.

Oh,

and the mountains don't move like clouds.

No, the sun is not moving. The planets are moving. Not the sun. Your quote says the wrong thing.
The Sun does move, Martin. But the question is whether or not Earth revolves around the Sun. Muhammad didn't answer that.

Yet we both agree it is valid theory.
If it was already there before Muhammad, he can't take the credit. You can't use someone else's theory to prove your book is right FFS.

To be honest I think most people don't believe what they're seeing in this thread. I bet Martin never knew people could be this dumb.

Did he say Big Bang? Did he say singularity? Did he say small atoms fused by gravity to become larger atoms? Not that I can see.

What he said right there was some silly speculation that can be interpreted as vaguely true. But I bet he said a lot of other stuff that turned out to be completely wrong too.

Well I don't think religion will disappear as such. I think it will evolve to become less stupid. Or smarter religions supersede the dumb ones we have now.

How does this prove that Mohhamed was real exactly?

Dude, context. You have to keep your posts appropriate to an audience. Of course the sun moves but that's not the issue here, and it only confuses everything for people who can't understand any of this.

To be honest I think most people don't believe what they're seeing in this thread. I bet Martin never knew people could be this dumb.
Well... stupidity has the ability to amaze a lot of people. I think that's not new.

19- He has let free the two seas meeting together.
20- Between them there is a barrier which they do not transgress.
    55-Gracious, 19-20

A famous French oceanographer, J. Cousteau, gives the following account as a result of his studies in water barriers: “We studied the assertions by certain researchers about barriers separating seas, and noticed that the Mediterranean Sea had its own salinity and density and housed autochthonous fauna and flora. Then we examined the water of the Atlantic Ocean and discovered features entirely different from those of the Mediterranean Sea. According to our expectations, these two seas that merged in the strait of Gibraltar should present similar characteristics in terms of salinity, density and other properties. The two seas presented different features even though they were adjacent. This greatly puzzled us. An incredible barrier prevented the two seas from coming together. The same sort of a barrier had also been observed in Bab Al-Mandab in the Gulf of Aden connecting with the Red Sea.

Subsequent to our observations, further researchers made it clear that the seas which had different characteristics had some barriers.” This fact that astounded oceanographers was revealed 14 centuries ago in the Quran. This aspect, not visible to the naked eye and appearing to be in conflict with the properties of water known to man, was first revealed to men in the Arabian peninsula, men who were not at all experienced in any sense with oceanography.

It's impossible to talk about absolute movement (something which most religions heavily protest to, BTW), but the sun is moving relative to the centre of the galaxy and relative to other stars.

    edit: Sorry, sorry. Context. :D

    Can you demonstrate such things?

How does this prove that Mohhamed was real exactly?
How can he know those things 1500 years ago?
