i seriously do not see why it's wrong to play iuliano and fresi... i mean why do they suck? i'm not saying they do, but i have the impression that most think they aren't good enough for juve.

but we have to take a risk aye? i mean when liverpool signed henchoz, nobody expected him to be a first-teamer. ramble on... :)

IMHO, i think Juliano is a good defender. but there are times when he commits too much errors. like the one he made that gifted basle their first goal. he should have left that ball for montero to clear, instead he made an awkward header and directed it to a basle player in our area which gifted them a goal.

He's a good defender no doubt, he's an italian international. But regarding fresi, i think he totally needs more time to spend in training first before we let him out to play. he needs to learn some more. he's not first-team calibre yet.

well after seenig the action of iulano today,,im a bit dissapointed.
the first goal was his guilt.
the second one too, because he was the mark of gimenez , who make a lone header.

and the worst, he shooted a wonderfull ball, but in our own goal....that could be the goal of the day.

veyr very bad iulano, more tranings for him too.

i was only joking before about selling them all and buying all those players.

i believe that we can buy bonera and zaccardo without any problems. Mexes would be great as well.

i would sell Montero and Iuliano. Ciro has extended his contract for one more year, and we have tudor, thuram and pessotto as experienced defenders.

i think if we sold Montero, Iuliano, Birindelli and Zenoni, it would be fine to bring in zaccardo, mexes and bonera.

thuram---tudor--mexes--zambrotta

zaccardo---ciro---bonera---pessotto

not to mention Moretti and fresi as well.

its a well balanced defence with experience and age.

Perhaps Iuliano needs more playing time to improve ya?

Yeah, that's sorta the issue, Iuliano is very experienced, and he stiill plays poorly at times.

I feel Iuliano should be given more opportunites and so should Fresi. I frankly can't remember Fresi except that he scored a goal in our opening match in the Serie A... right? :p

Iuliano is better than Montero at this moment. I don't why Montero is a regular now. Perhaps Lippi is hoping he finds his old form back. The Ferrara-Iuliano partnership didn't leak nearly as many goals.

I think that Iuliano is not a big upgrade from Montero. He may be better overall, but he is rarely on form for more than one game at a time.

i don't think Luliano is our solution!
I agree, he doesn't look motivated when he does play and I don't feel confident when he starts. I don't expect him to be with us next season.

I still think Iuliano should be given his chance. How about Fresi? Does he deserve any playing time at all?
Fresi? No way, he not that good...

Perhaps, but how many games do we have to risk playing him until he gets back in form when we can play in-form players instead? Can't he get back in form by just training? It may be different but at least put on a decent performance in actual games that count.

But dont get me wrong. Im not trashing Juliano. I just think he needs more time to get back to his old form. He was great. And if i may quote someone, the Montero-Juliano partnership was a good one. We did defend pretty well with them. I hope we could have that again, but at present, its just not working.

I dont remember much about Fresi except that he's young and still inexperienced. It would be wise to keep him a couple more years to check his progress though.
