So After reading alll your interesting inputs

I think its time for me to tell you what I do....

I am currently the Director of Sports/ Assitant Manager
of a divison 5/6 Team in football in my country.

its on the verge to amateur I get a little money as a thanks for the all the hours I put in but apart from that its nada....
But that all good cause I love doing what I do...

    My Job
    inlcudes
    Recruitment/Sales of Our Players....
Negioting Sponsor Deals for the club.......
    Arranging transportation for away games.....
    Contract Negiotations with players.......
    Espionage on Rival Teams...
    these are my main duties

    apart from that
I help out with the coaching during pracitses....
and misleanous tactical discussions with the manager....

Altough I don't mean to brag I took the team over (as Sports Director) when they were relegated from Division 5 to 6. With my new recruitments basically cositing of drop outs from various youth academies.
I made these mitfits fit in and gel perfectly (well some cred has to go to the manager) And we managed to go through the season with only one undfeated....
    Crushing all opposition
We are now in the 5th Divison with only 1 defeat 1 draw and 4 WINS!

All this has given me the reputation of the RE-Juvenator of teams....

All this history hopefully history though
Cause As of last week I got contacted by the Current National Champions of my country...
And they have offered me a Director of Sports position at their club my job descrpition would be mostly limited to
    Recruitment and Sales of players....
    And Sponsorship Negotions....

Don't Ask me how I got it.....

    The only catch is....
The Club I am to become Director of Sports for is a Rugby club and not a Football one
    :frown:

Anyways they are the current National Champions....
And since many of their players are +34 and are thinking of retiring they are looking to me to recruit the right mateiral to keep the legacy in check....

I have so far only been to 3 Rugby games in my whole life....

But I have come to understand that experience is much more important and valuable then in football.....
And that my new teams current strength lies in defense
They let in like 1 try in 5 games......

So since this is a whole new world for me
I will have to become some what more of a spectator in this forum
d-loading the goals and not much more
this will be much to relief of some people who probably find my prescne here a drag.....

Anyways Hopefully I will make a name for myself in this Sport also and maybe the next job will be with a top football club instead....

    :irritate:

yeah I get that a lot
But all I can do is keep my head up and stay strong :strong:
but once they give you a chance its not so bad....
And since everybody treats you a bit differently
You have to try to use that to your advantage.....

And I have succeded getting the best of players that were considered hopeless wastes of talents because of various reasons
-such as unable to motivate themselves...
    -the wrong work ethics...
    -or shear laziness...

And at which former academy coaches had said
    no more or hopeless case.....

    And with this said
I think that women can contribute a lot to football if giving the right chance and if they have the right motivation.

Look at the President of Rayo Vallencano Teresa a couple of years back she had Rayo winning the Primera Division first half of tg.
Altough the whole team cosisted of former rejects
abd she got them to play with a work ethic which was non-existent even amongst the basque teams.....

The first 11 of Rayo hade a total wage bill a month which was equal to Patrick Kluivert's.

If you are indeed a female, you must live in a pretty liberal (as far as football and men sports are concerned) country ;) Lucky you.

    All countries are patriarchal
    More or less
I wouldn't call mine the most liberal but it is surerly more liberal then conservative

    but as I said
you just gotta use your gender to your advantage....

    AS take recruitment for example
If I was a man I wouldn't be able to get half as close to the youth academies....
IMO its much easier to gain insider information...
    but from player and coaches....
such as to who wants to go
and who the youth academy is planning to drop despite their obvious talent........

cool :) good luck-keep it going!!

my team sucked, we played about 15 games and lost all but one, which we drew, even though I am sure the final score was 3-4, the ref was a dumbass.

So the three best players from the team, me and two others (the rest play like headless chickens) we have now quit and made a new team..and our first game, a friendly on thursday, we won
