Big cars just take some getting used to, the only problems appear while parking in small places. But a little practice and you're good, it's nothing too hard. And yeah, that car drinks fuel like Burke beer. :D
i sure hope soo vlatko, i'm dying to have a car really!!! its 2000cc and i hope its fuel injection bec of it is then the fuel issue wontbe a disater. as for manual driving yeah u have a pointit does need some practice and getting used too. the thing is the coordination bit i mean u have to coordinate between shifting gears up or down and looking at the mirrors and ahead of u. drving in cairo is toooooooooooo hard bec its crowded thats only why i fear manual to be honest.

if i ever had the choice thou i would'nt mind to have a golf or mazda 3 or a civic .

Manual is no rocket science, trust me, it takes you a few days and you won't even remember to think about switching, your hand will already be on the stick switching. It becomes second nature, yout get it out of your mind. Sure in heavy traffic it's a little harder than with an automatic but nothing too hard. It's heavy traffic, you'll either be in first slowly driving or you'll be in second, when you stop you go into neutral and rest your feet a little bit. :D Nothing hard man, you'll see.

Exactly, but knowing that we have here no flat streets, it's really boring to drive manual with all those mountains. I'm thinking of selling mine because of that.

Yeah I don't know your conditions, our aren't too perfect as well but I never complained about the manual. I guess I like simply being in control of everything that goes on in the car. Our new Passat has that tempomat option, where you can set a speed of over 30km/h and the car holds that particular speed by itself, you don't need to hold the gas any longer. It's nice and all but I just like it when I do all the work, it feels better.

Can we all come to an agreement, that GERMAN Automobiles are SUPERIOR in technology, comfort, engineering, and driving experience?

This is my humble opinion.

Back home in Lebanon, my father had 2 Mercs (first the 190, then a 300 SEL), my brother a 1990 BMW, and myself a shitty old 1989 Golf CL that was a work horse for me for about 5 years :touched:

New cars -

Nothing matches the power and class of a Porsche.

Nothing matches the handling of a Volkswagen.

Nothing matches the technology and engineering of a BMW.

Nothing matches the smoothness and elegance of a Mercedes.

Throw away your Alfas, Volvo's, Nissans, Chevrolet's, SAAB's, and Rover's.

German Automobiles RULE.

(yes, I drive a Japanese car at the moment ...I'm saving for a BMW maybe sometime in the very distant future)

I think in 4-5 years I will be able to buy a car, so I'm still waiting. By now, I just ride my bicycle.
