Awesome to see Sporting life the trophy again last night.

Lisbon’s celebrations were a bit subdued this time compared to 2021 though. A repeat and part of a revival can breed complacency. But it’s not like Juve at their 8th consecutive scudetto, which for some was like, “Ok, enough already”.

Best reflections were about Ruben Amorim, e.g.:

And if you don’t catch the reference, hello Paul Pogba:

:sheik:

When Manchowder United calls, many coaches will sadly bail on their successful clubs for that even-more-toxic-than-Juve front office. But his real judgement should come next year when he’s had a transfer season to make it his.

Now to prevent fascism in Portugal at the polls today…

I dunno. For the level of the league, absolutely. He's been insanely consistent too. Though he does have a solid front line to work with and a few decent hands to feed him good balls.

But put him in Serie A and he probably may as well be Amauri. Certaintly at Juve, which is a given for pretty much anybody we put at CF these days.

Maybe a mid-table team at a bloated marketing league like the EPL may make use of him though.

Do you guys utilize any particularly effective study methods? I'm preparing to take a professional exam and its been about 8 years since I've studied for anything. I'm finding myself struggling to retain information from reading long paragraphs, run on sentences crammed full of technical terminology that i have never and probably will never use outside of this exam

Are you studying to learn or to take an exam? If it's the latter, there should be plenty of resources specifically geared towards taking the exam. From my experience, I would take as many exams as possible(pay for them if necessary )and try to get 85-90% grade, if not retake the exam until I do. This allowed me to familiarize myself with the exam format and material, and also know the breakdown for subjects to be covered.

This worked for me when I was interviewing for jobs. Just kept practicing my intro lecture (I usually had to give a 45 minute to one hour lecture on my research background) over and over and over again- and practicing every sort of question I could anticipate.

Simply to pass an exam. learning and retaining the information is unlikely to benefit me beyond the test date.
