I understand them & up until the new year it's all fun & glitzy. January creeps in & people are broke! February brings a wave of flu's & cold's. At that point most people are at their breaking point then March comes to the recue. The longer days, the hunt for the first blooming flower and children's laughter as they spend more time outside. April brings the greenery back. It's so lush with all shades of green. life is back! Rolling into a fantastic summer (for the past 2 years at least, thanks to global warming).
How does this differ from my earlier life where the temps were between 11 - 29 degrees celcius all year round & sunrise/sunset difference of less than 10 minutes? I took everything for granted. Didn't even care about the sun. Now I cherish every season & especially the summer. Nothing beats a 10pm sunset in June.

I personally don't think the economy is as bad as people like to complain about these past few months. I think it can be mostly summed up as the large tech companies that make the news with their layoffs hired too many people over the last few years and have been cutting back recently to make numbers look better for shareholders, while the smaller startups that run on debt have been hit by higher interest rates. My company is kinda just shit to be honest, with yet another "shift in focus."
