Yeah, that was posted here a week or so ago.

I get why she/they did it. But they've made too much about her being a 22-year-old and the youngest on the parliament.

More weird in my eyes, the haka is a ceremonial dance historically used either on the battlefield or to welcome another tribe. Now it's being used in all sorts of random contexts detached from their original rituals. There's a fine line between expressing cultural pride and becoming the Maõri version of the Che Guevara t-shirt.

The tradition should be preserved, but putting them in house of parliament is quite odd to me, Although that girl performed it as a sign of protest.

Protest and cultural pride.

But when you're performing a sacred ritual in a parliament protest, to prepare for a game in the Rugby World Cup, or honoring kids shot in the Christchurch massacre, your ritual is all over the map.

It's not long before society cherry-picks it and suddenly your Sanskrit Rig Veda practice of prānāyāma is now associated with $400 designer yoga pants targeted to the wealthy undergraduates attending UC Santa Barbara.

I think the minorities mostly indigenous feel discriminated like Indians in America.
PS: I'd I put her sing as my alarm.

And there are people complaining about winter depression here
I understand them & up until the new year it's all fun & glitzy. January creeps in & people are broke! February brings a wave of flu's & cold's. At that point most people are at their breaking point then March comes to the recue. The longer days, the hunt for the first blooming flower and children's laughter as they spend more time outside. April brings the greenery back. It's so lush with all shades of green. life is back! Rolling into a fantastic summer (for the past 2 years at least, thanks to global warming).
How does this differ from my earlier life where the temps were between 11 - 29 degrees celcius all year round & sunrise/sunset difference of less than 10 minutes? I took everything for granted. Didn't even care about the sun. Now I cherish every season & especially the summer. Nothing beats a 10pm sunset in June.

Hey, what about these mass layoffs in US? What's the reason for that? I see the unemployment rate is very low still.
'Cause Trump's economic rocketship to the moon has no place for costly people when it can be stocked with billions of gallons of rocket fuel ... aka "Musk cologne".

I personally don't think the economy is as bad as people like to complain about these past few months. I think it can be mostly summed up as the large tech companies that make the news with their layoffs hired too many people over the last few years and have been cutting back recently to make numbers look better for shareholders, while the smaller startups that run on debt have been hit by higher interest rates. My company is kinda just shit to be honest, with yet another "shift in focus."

How do people there manage their vitamin D there? Does everyone supplement during the winter?

Just finished dinner at a nice restaurant in Miami and the table next to us was a bunch of bitcoin bros. For two hours straight they discussed bitcoins. Player one has 81 bitcoins, player two has 45 bitcoins. I don’t even think these bros could spell their own name or even know what planet they’re on. What the fuck world is this.

Best thing about it, their drink of choice: water
