Honestly, so little of the overall population hunts anymore that native species are becoming overpopulated. Like New Jersey and black bear. They have a moratorium on hunting and the downline of that is the State with the highest number of bear attacks in the US.

don’t get me started with deer in PA. Every time I drive at night, I have to be extra careful because they’re always hanging out right by the side of the road
