Btw, my racist comment for the day: working for a company with employees in the US and UK, I get all sorts of Black History month celebrations and events announced on Slack in February .... and then again in October.

Talk about feeling gaslit every year...

Why is it assumed they are sexual deviants? Give me some examples of what type of deviance you're talking about.
If you look at the numbers, the vast majority of convicted pedophiles in the US is like 80% males who are "straight." The numbers don't lie.

I equate this nonsense to those that would rather drive 80,000 miles than fly 20,000 miles. It's an irrational fear for most of these people where they don't understand their risk of dying is much, much greater in the car than a plane. Yet they don't care. But nobody is calling these people mentally ill, are they?

So this whole discussion about trans people is nothing but bigotry. Period.

I probably wouldn't hire a straight male for a daycare either tbh
But we have learned gays are sexual deviants.

India may suck at football, but they'd be elite in the gang rape Olympics.

It's often dumbfounding to Americans when they discover black people and racism outside of the US borders.

"Do you have blacks, too?" - George Bush to the Brazilian President

"I am a British citizen, I am not an 'African-American' because I am black." - best friend of a Brit friend of mine who resented being called "African-American" in the US years ago

"You can't wear your hair like that, that's cultural appropriation" -Twitter to Adele at the Notting Hill Festival, none of them ever having been there let alone in the UK

    Make Gang Rape Great Again
Dude remember when we were simple Legionairy. Life was great. Marching to France on our sandals, singing to the Gods at a campfire. Off to Egypt making some fun of B81 because Cleopatra whored herself out to our emperor again. Back to Rome, gang raping a bitch who we enslaved during one of our conquests. Watching a gladiator fight instead of jihadball.

I really hate the term African American. Even for black Americans.

What about all the Afro-French and Belgians and Brits?

Genuinely, what do you say in Belgique?

    We don't say anything.

    Black people are simply black.

I definitely think there's racism in Belgium too (probably moreso towards people of Moroccan descent though), but in general there seems to be less of a preoccupation with categorising people.

In fact the very idea of putting people in these boxes feels weird. The first time I was in the US I was very surprised I had to define what race I was. I even had to look it up to know I was Caucasian. I don't really understand what benefit could be gained from it.

As for 'African-American' I hate it because it implies they are from somewhere else than America.

Well, that's not what it implies.

The adjective describes the type of American. I'm German/Polish- American. I just say "American." The majority of people here just say, "Black guy" or something but I wouldn't say "African American" unless someone preferred it.

I used to call my ex-white girlfriend an African American as she was from the RSA.

To clarify, my ex-girlfriend, who happened to be white.

Yeah, I get what you're saying.

But the 'type of American' is such a weird concept to me.

And don't forget the Canadians who celebrate Thanksgiving in October.

I agree I never refer to someone as a " " - American. Its cringe as hell
Truth be told, the UK is the hyphenated nation. Every frigging England footie player has some name like Trent Pantsoff-Danceoff.

Anyone who was born here and says "Italo-American," "Italian-American," or "Sicilian" deserves to be burned in a furnace. Absolute worst NY-style bullshit culture there is.

Don't you mean "McDonald's All-Americans" where they test the cholesterol level of all High-School seniors?
