Yes, and even that point is failed politics. They knew about the pollution problem (which exists) for decades but allowed the sector to grow exponentially. Farmers invested heavily to reduce the pollution, but it wasn’t enough.

Got to say though that the farmers who agree to be bought out all become millionaires, in a way I feel sorry for them but I’d take the money and run.
So they want to reduce pollution at the expense of food independence?

I don't blame the farmers either. Imagine being told that providing food for the people is actually a bad thing and you need to stop

I guess it's better to get the food from some poor country, imported at a higher cost, transported long distances adding to carbon emissions.

Has to be something I'm missing here. Will try to read up on it more when I get a chance.

It’s the meat and milk industry for the record. Most gets exported. It are millions and millions of animals and their piss contains ammonia. It are simply to many animals concentrated in a too small space. The ammonia goes into the air and ground causing air pollution and harm to nature.

I’d rather eat beyond meat than bubba burgers
No way.

Overprocessed dreck meant to fool you into thinking it's food? It's the nicotine gum of food ... neither gum nor smoking. And it puts the production of our food supply in the hands of big corporate chemical laboratories who can patent the IP on everything we eat to charge us with every bite.

That's what irks me about the fake meat industry.
