I found a "certified Tesla solar roof" installer and quoted me for $154,000 for my new house to have a solar roof installed lololololol

I was like nah, bitch. Even with our federal 30% incentive for solar its still over 100k lmao

I do want to try and build a small log cabin somewhere on my property so you might get a sod roof at some point lol

Also - if I did metal I probably won't mount solar on it...I have 56 acres so I have plenty of space to mount solar panels near the house without even seeing them
Jealous, dude. That’s dope. Time to start a vineyard. :wine:

I need to get a new roof. I thought asphalt was the only option. It’s also a townhome in an HOA tho, I don’t know if I can get away with anything

You could run for HOA, mandate all individuals have to have their penises removed, then no one will care if your roof is tiger pelts.

Probably have strata rules on what you’re allowed to do on the outside. A standardized roof is pretty common to not change the aesthetic from townhome to townhome. But sometimes you have some options. Standing seam steel roof is really the way to go as far as finding best value between durability, cost, and aesthetic imo.
