So, some feminist friend posted on Facebook something about not enough research being done on male contraception and blah blah blah and that the burden is on the female etc..
I replied explaining the science behind it and why it's so difficult to develop male contraception without the risk of permanent and grave side effects like sterility and erectile dysfunction (which btw is a bad selling point for someone with an active sex life).
Then she and her friend both replied saying "well that's still not good enough. They have to do more. Also, men can get vasectomies which are reversible and safe". Lol, I replied saying that vasectomies are not considered a reversible procedure, especially since the chances of reversal get slimmer with time.
She replied posting a link to some shitty website saying they're always reversible - and when I tried replying to that she had changed the settings of the post so that I couldn't respond.
I loved how that captured the notion that feminists cannot have honest intellectual arguments. They just want to be right even if that means convincing men to become sterile.
