i would like to visit abroad one day.I can't afford it and it is quite depressing when everyone suggets going to the USA, Uk, etc. when I ask them about what to do to improve my spoken English.

Yeah I had a feeling it was a shahrestan not main city. Wow I find the no hijab astonishing what's the penalty if they are caught? No hijab at all times or just in thier own street near thier houses?
Man I can tell you with no doubt your English is better than some of the Persian doctors in Beverly hills living in five million dollar houses. Reading is the best way to improve on everything, even if you don't understand some of the words.

I did the Amtrak New York to New Orleans. Met interesting people but the railway lines are sunk into the ground so no scenery.

That sucks, only reason I'd want to hop on a train is for scenery.

One of these days I'm gonna hop on Rail Canada, have my own little booth and they let me smoke a few j's and enjoy the scenery take naps. Sounds like good time.
