This thing just looks like it wants to keep going west. The less reliable WRF-ARW is taking Henri as a Cat 1 into Toms River, NJ.

Latest GFS shows a Cat 1 landfall into Montauk with heavy outer bands even reaching NYC.

At this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if the landfall is NYC. These models don’t do a good job at all with high strength and wobbles. All it needs is another 50 miles west and you’re there.

I'm surprised wasn't being talked about more here. I was on Rockaway Beach last night with some people when everyone's phones got the emergency alert for the storm surge, but that's about it. Weather channel saying it's shifting eastward a bit now?

Slightly East now, yeah. But models are still all over the place. NHC forecast still looks pretty good but watch out for jogs east or west.

Looks like Henri stopped westward movement and now is set to make landfall in eastern Long island. I'm probably going to lose power in the middle of Juve game tomorrow. Just hope I get to see a little bit of Berna magic before going dark.
