I don't think there is an officially mandated policy. Some companies give you time off as if you were pregnant. Others ask you to take sick leave. I dunno, but it might be possible some might claim that you're on your own dime.
If that's the last case, you probably have options since jury duty is mandated by law. It's not like it's your fault or anything. Worst case scenario, you can tell the case judge that you have a hardship and work will not pay your wages. This could, however, be your douchy employer hoping you'll do just this to let them off the hook.
Otherwise you might look into that a little. You can get thrown in jail for not showing up, so this isn't something voluntary.
