Depends where you go in London.
If you're in the tourist areas, you'll be hard pressed to actually find any English girls. So don't go centre of zone 1.

I think you've become confused on two counts (1) you have mistaken mass consumerism for quality of life. Who wants three 60" 4K TVs? (2) All of these things are readily available and affordable outside of the US. The median net worth for US adults is $44,977 while that for UK adults is $107,865 (2016, Credit Suisse Global Report). The typical American is also much worse off than the typical person in Norway, France, Finland, Denmark, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Luxemborg, Netherlands, Italy, and Ireland.
