America is an amazing country. I've done a number of several month road trips around the US to climb and surf and hike.

It's not the country itself, it's the people that are a mess. Even then, most Americans are very friendly and hospitable. But there's a very vocal minority that are pretty hard to stomach.

Those of us who live in safe countries without "no go zones" and with very low crime rates really can't imagine living in such a place; has nothing to do with insecurity. In my workplace we employ lots of Americans, and most of them are stunned by how safe it is in the UAE. For example, leaving your car engine open while you go to a store or to the bank or something is quite common here in the summer(because people don't want to come back to a blazing hot car). Americans are usually alarmed at how we do that, and how cars almost never get stolen.

I mean my home country is worse than America( and worse than most of the world for that matter), and we have the highest per capita guns in the world, but I don't live there and never have in my life
