I saw a guy on the local news last night who was promoting raw water (total hipster douche). He goes out and finds streams in the wild and drinks from them. His criteria as to whether or not to drink from it seemed to be mostly based on how picturesque the stream and surrounding woods were. Something about a lack of impurities found in "industrialized" water. Coincidentally he was also running a business of selling his stream water to hipster techies in SF for 10$ a gallon.
Good choice of words.

Ah, let's get back to nature where, in the good old days, we died of dysentery and our internal organs shriveled up from girardia. This is life continually thinning the herd of stupidity.

Yes. After thousands of years of continuing efforts to provide people with clean drinking water, people are now choosing to drink dirt.
Sub-Saharan Africa had it right all along. Who's the shithole country now?

You play tetris, so i figured it's lunch break. Why wouldn't you be allowed to take a nap?

I thought "powernapping" was a thing :shifty:
Sounds like the new album for the Iron Maiden reunion tour.

Apparently its a growing fad among techies in the area (there are a lot of stupid ones).
This is true. I think it's that ridiculous "hack" mentality... one where people get the idea that they can outsmart science and evolution because they're special.

Celeb chef Jamie Oliver has started targeting energy drinks now as his next moral crusade campaign, because schoolkids here are addicted to them and they are full of sugar.
He's a platform hog, but I have to admit -- despite his hubris, I don't disagree with many of his causes.

They are, but why the fuck is Jamie Oliver our knight and savior now?
When did he stop being it?

#TsunamiSunday ??

Doesn’t make much sense tbh, if you have no discipline regarding what you eat (i.e., three chocolate bars cause your body anticipates something sweet), why should you even consume diet food alternatives to begin with? I’m not a fan of soda in general but the diet version is for sure better and healthier and an excellent switch for those who are addicted to the normal soda.
The big joke is usually caps off eating 6 hamburgers with a diet soft drink.

But me as a Type 1 diabetic of 20+ years, added sugar literally will kill me early. The black mojo about faking my body out is irrelevant to that. So I appreciate the option.

You tell me

all my folks back on the peninsula seem to be yapping about it
@swag what say ye?
If they really want raw water, I have plenty of coffee cans around the house to comply. :pado:

I say in this modern era of social media, people are making up more shit than ever. I mean, micro-cheating? Cuffing season and clearing season? Dafuq, they will post anything as if it's real.

Guess who got promoted today after 2 months on the job :D

I'm gonna be in charge of people for the first time in my life. Older people than me too.

I don't know if I'm ready for the job but I can't say no. It's a mix of excitement and fear.
Glad to hear all that workplace sexual harassment training paid off. And now that you have a bionic Panucci-hole, the sky is the limit! Congrats! :D

High fructose corn syrup? I had no idea that was the reason American coke tastes like ass.
We love monocultures in America. Corn lobby influences the farm bill, and they next thing you know 'Merica is making soft drinks, sex lube, and avocado toast machines out of corn byproducts.

All hail the Great Monsanto.

I was going to look for apartment with said friend. Would've been cool but now he wants to bring GF along. Apparently "people can change" :shifty:
If by changing, she's doing it in front of you and she's at least semi-hot-looking, that might not be horrific.

Getting a promotion was the worst thing that could've happened to me.
You did it right then. The new #2. Welcome to the machine, my son! You are among the cogs squeezing out the meat in the great sausage machine now.

Any of you guys know of a good site to look for apartments that isn't just sifting through crap on craigslist? Like maybe something with a bit more selective criteria so i don't have to look through so much bs
