I'm gonna be in charge of people for the first time in my life. Older people than me too.

I don't know if I'm ready for the job but I can't say no. It's a mix of excitement and fear.

You're assuming things. Of course sugar is, in general, bad for you. I'm not going to deny that. But the question is whether diet coke is a good alternative. To demonstrate that it is, it is not enough to prove that sugar is unhealthy.
