I find that quite scary.

I mean, living a life where you find job a center of everything?
It was great to help them or it was great to feel good yourself when you helped?
People tend to confuse the two and usually it's just filling their ego. IMO it's usually the I FIXED IT rather than 'they were helped'.
That's specially true with lawyers. They're a bunch of workaholics that only care about prestige. At least that's how I perceived it in the corporate law world.
Sometimes I think I envy people who actually love their jobs, those who really have fun doing it. I couldn't be fulfilled by mine before I quit, even when I was told that I was doing a really good.
There are many things in life that make me feel happier but working for the man (and in the legal field) is not one of them.
