Can anybody recommend a Spanish textbook series? There seem to be millions in English which have a nice progression through levels and which include listening, reading, writing and all that. Been looking online but people keep recommending dictionaries and verb list books.

I'm more interested in something which lets me practice the skills I mentioned above in a decent progression. Those who did Spanish at school - which textbook series did you use? Was it any good?
I learned all my spanish from this:

Many thanks to the great Lou Diamond Phillips

I just saw a female midget on a really small kid's bicycle. The best thing I've ever seen.
I guess they really do just let anyone into Europe these days

Was in tears for an hour or so (don't know how long, but it felt like an hour) last night at 6pm. I got a call from some friends on a trip in Poland. They asked me if my brother was with me, cause they hadn't seen him in 18 hours after a row and when they woke up at the hotel, he was gone and later they realized his stuff was gone too. Since his phone was stolen earlier, they couldn't call and hoped that he went back to Denmark. We realized he hadn't had contact to anyone here, so we were sure he was missing. When they were about to call my mother, to tell her he was missing (it's her birthday), his roomie called and said my brother wrote to him on Facebook. That's all I know. Now, I'm getting paranoid since I haven't talked to him. I know they were about to go to the Danish consul in Stettin and I'm thinking the consul told them to tell me that he's alright, till they know more. I know it's just me being paranoid, but it was pretty hard for me earlier.

He probably just needs some time to cool off. I would check with his girlfriend. Do you know if he has money? A bank trail would probably reveal which hotel he booked himself in.

Thanks. He's 27. What I meant is that he wrote today to his roomie (when supposedly missing). I didn't tell my mom anything. I asked her if she was with my brother (if she said no, which she did, we all believed he was missing).
At 27 he should be fine especially since he went off by himself and messaged somebody too. As Ali said he just needs to cool off.

Any news this morning?

@Hængebøffer har du fundet ud af noget? Hvis det er har min kærestes familie ret stærke forbindelser i Polen, skriv en PM med hans navn hvis du har lyst til at jeg spørger rundt.

Speaking of people who've gone missing, you guys remember Woody? He disappeared a few months ago after telling us he's running away with his girlfriend due to her disapproving parents. He shut down his FB profile and his phones are off. I can't reach him, and haven't heard from him since then. No sign whatsoever of where he is. I don't even know any of his friends in Mumbai to check up on him.

Last night, Facebook reminded me of the time last year when I met him in Mumbai and hung out with him and his gf. I bloody miss that fucker now.

While on the east coast I'm joining a university protest to have the country named "Chad" renamed due to all the WASPy bros here not wanting their names associated in any way with the continent of Africa because of their own underlying racist associations
