The former is a number whose frequency of occurrence has removed its significance, the latter is a very specific story that is easier to relate to. What i'm curious about is why people don't understand this very basic way of how human psychology works.
It's pretty easy to figure out. If you want to be noticed, have a dead kid handy.

Really satisfying round of golf yesterday.

Shot 72 (+1) round a course I hadn't played in a few years and in a pretty strong wind.

Didn't hit many shots that would jump out as being great, but was just really solid and in control all the way.

Pulled one tee-shot left and didn't quite catch an approach shot on another hole, so it came up short in a bunker, but didn't really make any other errors with my long game.

It's not as much that I don't understand it, as being continually frustrated at how rubbish people are and how habits don't seem to change.

@Red I played a round on Saturday with a fellow who said he plays in some amateur-ish tourney in Scotland that takes place in August. He said it usually runs about a solid week of matchplay and even if you get lose a match you can play in the other one throughout the week. Are you familiar with this?

So I swing by one of the city park restrooms on my morning hike and I hear pounding on the stall walls inside. As I enter I hear grunting and panting and some guy yells, "Come on, bitch!"

I thought someone was screwing a hooker. Turns out, it was just one guy in there taking a solo dump. :pado: :shifty:
