So my kitchen got installed today and painting has been going really well. Will probably be living on my own by October. Kinda excited.

OK, DiYDEViL. ;)

No, seriously, you're right about that. A big reason for this maker and DIY obsession are people who serve no purpose other than as cannibal food in the event of a natural disaster/power outage.
:tuttosport:

:D

50% of the DIY’s gotta be mobile phone covers with glued on rhinestones...

most likely stars.

Clearly unsustainable economics...
It's only a matter of time before we will see huge economic changes in Europe imo. Houses and apartment have doubled and sometimes tripled in prices since 15 years ago. Clearly that is not okay. In the meantime young people are having enormous difficulties finding a job. And sooner or later automation will hit. We obviously cannot and won't continue this way.

I didn't imply that at all. I merely said there are very real safety concerns for foreign tourists in India. I think it would be insane to deny that.
I've worked in US companies since 2007, and I've seen a lot of US citizens visit our offices for business purposes. Never heard anyone complain about safety. I've also had friends from the US and Spain living here for months and not complaining one bit about safety. I'm sorry to say this, but it is you who are delusional. You're trying paint all of India with a single brush, making sweeping generalizations when you haven't even visited the place. You're actually insane for suggesting that it is unsafe!

Read my posts. The question is whether or not India can be unsafe for foreign tourists. Clearly it can be. You even admit to as much in the post above. Jesus, how silly can you get?

And you avoid certain regions or cities.

You'll be surprised how much worse things can get before there's any change...

Wot? India is like 100 times safer than the U.S.

The only problem with foreigners in India is the problem for everybody in India: you cannot attend a public gathering of more than 1,000 people without at least someone getting killed.

theres also the fact that india is 100 times more corrupt than the US and that, de facto, makes it a 100 times more dangerous.

It's his generalizations that I have a problem with. Delhi is quite unsafe and even I wouldn't go there. But if you're gonna call "India" quite unsafe, then yes, you are insane. We don't have guns, mass shootings, or sentences involving 1000 lashes for simply making a blog post.

Your paranoia is simply disproportional to the reality. There are more places in India that are safe rather than unsafe. From where I'm sitting, it's you who's being silly.

That's a different kind of dangerous. I interpreted that as physical health, not economic health.

And for all the issues with women getting raped in India, they're not foreigners ... as they're committed by people of a certain backwoods cast mindset who are lashing out to hold on to their dying traditions of gender roles in society.

i never feel unsafe in the US, unless i venture out to a 'ghetto' but even there i can pass for a latino so still pretty ok :D

I'd love to see you back this up. Unless your purpose as a tourist is to expose corruption at the highest levels, I don't even know why the corruption be dangerous here. :boh:
id love to see you dispute it, if shit pops id rather rely on US cops.
