You know the last thing I want to do is give you more ammo but truth be told, fruits and vegetable in Europe, at least in the Mediterranean countries really do taste differently than they do here. I was in Europe on holiday a couple of weeks ago, and eating fruit over there made me feel like I've never eaten real fruit before

Do you have any idea why that is? The circumstances are comparable to the Mediterranean in a lot of Western USA states, so I doubt it's only the climate.

Oh no you misunderstood me, I wasn't actually referring to the US, as I haven't actually been there. I was comparing it to here, the UAE, and I was commenting mainly on the fact that fruit in the European cities I went to (Rome, Barcelona, and Paris) was amazing really. I'm not sure how it is in the US, but I can relate to your comment about how fruit tastes in Europe. Damn I still dream of those strawberries I ate in Rome :lick:

What I find weird in America is the taste of vegetables and fruit. They all taste like water. I'm not sure if it's me, but the taste in Europe seems 'fuller'. Not sure if that makes sense, just something both me and my girlfriend noticed.

Yes, Providence has some amazing Italian restaurants. I was speaking of when an Olive Garden opened up in South Dakota and they called it a gourmet restaurant.

If you and the Mrs ever make it to Providence, I'll take you to a little place called Posillipo's that is located in my home town of North Providence. It's a small family run place that has some amazing food.

And the owner is a Torino supporter, so it can get lively
