How old are they? It will probably take a long post, but be clear about the frames from the beginning and tell them about todays course. Long term it's about to bring them up to democracy (impossible to discuss here ).
But if you're just a problem solver, there's also a lot of noise in the classroom, cause you have to be reactive all the time.

And not to forget the parents role in all this.
