It's all about balance. I'm sure she has her own classes, friends etc. Eventually she'll blend in and things will feel normal instead of scheduled.
It's not that I'm refuting you, I just like talking about it.

She doesn't have her own classes, sadly - she took a year off in between high school and the university and she is enjoying the shit out of it. imagine being 20 and not having responsibility? I would've fucking died.

She does have jobs though. One of them is bartending the other is phoning at Amnesty Int. - our department is pretty much recognized as the drunkest and best social group of people. The workplace is 20m from a bar where you can get two beers for five bucks and they allow smoking inside. It would've messed up my life I had was doing that at that age.

I can imagine. But the last year of high school I spent chronically high and drunk, every day. We even got loaded during work - being a cashier is much easier that way. Imagine if my income was boosted and already neglected responsibilities vanished?

What did you do with your year off?

I need advice from the Tuz pooncouncil over here.

So my girl knows I need to get up at 7 am in the morning - she knows that because she checked three times earlier today to see if we could spend the night. Wasn't going to happen, I honestly can't do anything but fuck and talk when she is next to me in bed, I never sleep before 5 am when we spend the night. Mad about her.

So she's been out with an old friend, had a drink too many, and calls me up at 12 in the evening to see if she can come over, I diffuse the situation and go to bed. Then comes a text message "can you come out for a cigarette, I have something important to tell you". At this point I can do nothing but come out, as she is in front of my fucking apartment. I get down and it's fucking blabber about how they found eachother again. We talk, and then she sais "I think we both know I came here because I want to sleep in your bed".

Suddenly I need to feel shitty, but I stood my ground and told her that I'm going up to sleep and that if things are going to function for me I need to have her, my university, my friends and my alone time in a schedule where it all works out. We see eachother 3 times per week, so I can't really be blamed for neglecting her. I think I did the proper thing, even though it sucked to leave her out there - I needed to make a point tht this shit isn't going to fly in the future. Fairly certain that she is crying her eyes out right now and I feel like a piece of shit.

Dude, she is giving you a gift. She is giving you control, which you should most certainly wield. Stick to your guns about sleeping in for the 7am. The self-discipline and control you show -- which is rational, btw -- could drive her nuts.

A couple more of these, and you will be walking her around your neighborhood in her panties and a dog leash. :agree: Show that woman who's boss!

Did a selective service program called Americorps, where I worked on a bunch of conservation projects for like no money. Lived for free in an old house (rent was fixing it up), and boozed my face off. Spent the last few months fighting wild fire in Missoula, Montana.

Reminds me of when I came across the Andersen's Pea Soup in Buellton, CA, sat down, and ordered their bottomless bowl of pea soup.

Great soup. But less than an hour later I remembered that peas are legumes. I was Jackson Pollocking out of my anus for the next 24 hours.
