 @Ragazza coffe tips
That's extreme fresh! I hope we don't get that here. I remember one day when my fingers & toes defined a new dimension of pain. I was still new to winter & missed the bus. Had to wait for 30 minutes at -15 Celsius. Rushed home & washed my hands in hot water. Stuff that can make a grown man whimper. Almost wailed like a ukulele.
Ali, you haven't experienced -32 yet? Is global warming fucking things up so much now? I remember -30 in Uppsala back in the 90's.

And you call this lucky? Man up and wish for real winter. I can't wait to start hitting the slopes.
Sooner or later I will have to take the boys to the slopes hopefully I will change my perception of winter.

Not really. Decaffeinated coffee -- which isn't the same as caffeine free coffee (technically, such a thing does not exist) -- is usually arrived at as a product of patented washing or chemical methods where they try to bleach out the caffeine from the coffee.

I used to think that decaffeinated coffee drinkers were the only true coffee lovers, because they drank it for the taste and not some lame-assed white man's fake drug addiction. But I've come around to realizing how caffeine is a biologically integral part of the coffee structure and the resulting flavor that comes out of it. As with non-alcoholic beer, it's more than just the alcohol you lose.

That said, fortunately decaf stocks of coffee have gotten much better -- because customer expectations are higher. I would research some decaf coffees you can get freshly roasted with a date stamp on it -- preferably roasted by a reputable, local outfit that does the same with the caffeinated stuff -- and hope for the best. Try it out until you find something you like.
Thank you Greg.

-23 is the lowest I've experienced. My biggest issue with winter is that I get do much pain in my fingers & toes whenever I get exposed.

Winter is by far the worst season for me, my slight winter depression is kicking in from Dec-March, every year.
Never understood that concept.

Summer is the worst. First of all, no football (no the kind that matters anyway), and second of all, so moist, so sweaty, so warm. Yuck.

Have you tried to supplement the vitamin D?

Spoken like a true norman. It's hard to aclimatise for some of us.

Have you actually tried all the machines? Since Nespresso have their own staff in the store, they always make everything for me so I've never actually tried it. Only machines I've tried myself are by Jura & De'Longhi.
I own a U that Nespressi shipped me for free. :D I've toyed with a few others of theirs, but far from "all".

My fave is still my Gaggia Factory manual lever machine, but that takes effort.

New Balance shoes with a suit?

That is GAY.
Men's style notoriously falls apart at the shoes, they say.

You'd think America would have far more mass shootings in the winter because of the SADS effect, but it doesn't quite work out that way.

And I'm with Jem on this one: summer is the worst. At least it was until I moved to SF.

I'm quite perplexed by this Bjerknes character. He never really posted in my time here, and now he's on a posting spree like he's in Crank and will die the minute he stops posting. What the hell is going on?
