So, about a month ago I got in touch with Sky about switching from my current broadband/phone provider. In the process I discovered the rascals had been overcharging me for the past two years for my tv. They promptly credited my account to pay for the following three months of billing which was just lovely. A month and a half later the blaggards still hadn't switched me over to their service and in the meantime my current provider had billed me again and then subsequently cut me off for a period of two days

. Despite 11 calls to their office I received no update and no explanation as to why nothing had been done. Eventually on the 12th call after 20 minutes on hold I got to speak with a supervisor. Suffice to say I tore into the poor bastard and my internet was switched over within a few hours.
In the end I came away with four months free tv/phone/broadband, 2 months free sky sports and a second router (just for the fuck of it). Oh and they're picking up the tab for the other bill my previous network tried to charge me
Persistence pays off in the end. Although I will say this, no matter how good an idea, put it in Irish hands and shits gonna go tits up
