So... I'm looking at options for studying abroad for a period. Which of the following universities are great and which should I avoid? http://udrejse.ku.dk/Udveksling_Feltarbejde_og_Praktik/Verden/FactSheets/USA/
I can tell you a little about some of the California ones.

If you care a lot about education & want to challenge yourself, there's Berkeley. It's one of the harder schools to get into around here, pretty competitive. It's in a good area too with lots to do, also a short subway ride to San Francisco. UCLA is also a good school.

Then on the other side of the spectrum there are the ones that are famous for being "party schools" - Santa Cruz & Santa Barbara.

And I have friends who went to Davis, they liked it but it's kinda in the middle of nowhere. Don't know if that would bother you.

That's all I know really, maybe someone else can be more helpful.

Now waiting for the periodontist appointment to be scheduled
Dafuq, Dru. Did you exorcise the evil spirits of Sergio's house only to have them inhabit your molars?

I just caught up on the latest two episodes of Eastbound and Down. Brilliant show as always and the fourth season has started off really good.

McBride is the man.
This is the second trusted recommendation on this show I've received. Will have to check out.

It would look good on a resume too, with the international trade and whatnot..
Heroin trade in Marseilles?

I'm an alum there, so use your best judgment, Völler. ;)

That is awesomeness. :lol2:

Maybe not death metal, but the sophistication of Ravello - la città della musica - required me to crank up some Rocket from the Crypt on my headphones here in the town square right now. Still, I'm attending a chamber music concert in Villa Rufolo tomorrow night so there's balance.

And for the obligatory photo of the day, last night had an over-the-top dinner at Don Alfonso 1890 in Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi. It dumped rain up in the mountains to where the streets ran like rivers. But they let me tour their awesome wine cellar, where the bottom part is a 6th century Etruscan tomb. And modern cheese cellar. ;)

whats the university experience you want to have?
Well, the most important is the educational. A varied selection of courses and challenging classes are the most important things. I'm sure you'll be able to find awesome people and parties everywhere (but maybe I'm naive?). I haven't been to the US before so it would be great if you could say if any of the cities suck as well. :p

Also, which ones are the most prestigious?

gotcha, i meant do you want the big school feel, think football program very active campus, or one in a major city where you get to have some student life but also discover your surroundings
