I agree, it's one of those dishes. It can be the best you ever tasted or the worst. Great sushi is fantastic, one of my favourite dishes for sure.

I got sick once several years ago from what I suspect was improperly prepared sushi & couldn't eat it for quite a while after. I only got over it when my ex basically dragged me to a sushi restaurant. Glad for it though because I'd missed eating it. Tempura rolls are my favorite.

it was probably old sushi. like burke said, i don't think there's bad sushi. just that some is a lot better than others.

Yeah could be, or if they don't use "sushi grade" fish it can also get bad. It was at a food court in some shitty mall, so I should have known better anyway.
