Happy with the result?
I'd be happy with anything, so long as I can trace it. It's only disappointing when you don't get anywhere :) I got to the 15th century with my French relatives.

What is it with Canadians and naked bike rides?

My second day in Vancouver, about 100 pasty naked weirdos came cycling past me.
I don't know! I was surprised how many of the women were completely shaved.

Mostly just names, though I had had no idea my dad's family had been so established. But I am what I thought I was: English, French, Irish and Slovenian.
Resisting the urge to make a ''you want a little more Irish in you'' joke

Oops, there it is, oops there it is.....

Interesting. I've never done that thing. From what I know I have a tiny bit of French, possibly some Lithuanian and the rest is all boring Polish.

Is there a histogram?

I had a bit, but Ancestry.com or whatever do a free trial, and their records are pretty good.

Is there a histogram?
I'm sure there is somewhere.

Apparently they've never heard of my people. I only get matches in the US.
Unfortunately the US are better record keepers, it would seem. Records on that site get difficult the moment you get out of the anglophone world or, rather, the Protestant sphere. Ireland is difficult to search as well.

Seems I'm golfing with my Dad and his two brothers tomorrow on the course they all grew up playing (not that I'm disadvantaged in that regard as I think I was five or six when I first played there).

It's well over twenty years since those three last played together and I've never played against one of my uncles.

The psychological strains during this game will be extraordinary.

Add whisky. Lather, rinse, repeat.
