No, not necessarily. When I moved to France I had to have a chest x-ray, and learned that at some point in my life I had broken my whole left rib cage, but I had no idea. I imagine it was falling off of a horse. You can break your ribs relatively easily, though. I bruised mine sneezing once.

There's no bruising, so that's why I'm thinking it's probably not broken? Still hurts like hell though, need to stop getting into mess fights with my mates on nights out, especially as they're all bigger then me.
