Nay, i finished my masters thankfully. It was tough working full time and doing my masters at the same time, so if you ever plan on doing that, you better be prepared mentally.

No, competency based questions are ones that make you think on the fly. Judge your ability to come up with solutions to past problems.

The interviewer asks you these kind of questions so that you give them examples of how you illustrated a particular competency. For example the question above would be asked to measure your ability to work in teams. Every question is supposed to measure one or more competency.

Its not easy answering such questions, but i suggest you read tips on "how to answer competency based interview questions" next time. Most organizations that try and adopt sound HR practices use the competency based interview at some stage.

The star technique is one way to conduct(from the interviewers perspective) and/or to answer(from the interviewees perspective) competency based questions.

Theres no such thing as a star interview, star is a technique you use in structured interviews, aka behavioral interviews, aka competency based interviews.

I've been in a ridiculous office job since July 2011...at first just as a summer job, now i'm using it to earn decent money before my masters...but the amount i earn compared to work actually done is stupid...i literally spend some shifts (9 hours) just watching series on my computer!!

Yeah, I was here before for around 6 months in 2011. This time might turn into more than a few days as well, we'll see. If it does, I'm going to need to bring in some series or install Football Manager to pass the time.
