People seem to be the equivalent of women these days when it comes to things like blizzards and nor easters. I heard that the lines to get gas yesterday were about 45mins deep. Where the f are you gonna go drive around if you're snowed in?

In Chicago, it was never that bad. When I lived in Maryland, it was insane. The weatherman would suggest the "S" word, and at every grocery store it was like everyone had a fallout shelter in their backyard and the Russians had just announced sending over all their warheads.

The people in this country are the problem, eliminate them then the country is fine. I'm sure Andrew Beck has said something to that extent one time or another

After hurricane Sandy people are scared now. It's predicted to be a very powerful storm, not just because of the snow but because of high winds and coastal flooding. I don't get the gas lines either though, because as you said you cannot drive around in a foot of snow. Massachusetts is going to get hit very hard. They and Rhode Island already declared a State of Emergency.

We need more underwhelming "disasters" to thin the herd when they bring their surfboards to the next hurricane.

Unfortunately, after a couple of monsters, everybody is starting to take this disaster stuff (a little too) seriously.
