This will date me, but for me it was In a Priest Driven Ambulance ("God Walks Among Us Now: Jesus Song No. 6" was what did it for me at the time... very shoegazer-ish). TBH, while I like YBTPR, I kind of lost interest then because their music sort of lost its grit and feedback/distortion around then.
