Not really, most times people are cool. Only occasionally does stuff get out of control for a period of time.

What do you mean? You are against closing threads at all? There are occassions where it might be the best to close the thread, if, after several warnings, people haven't calmed down.

We've decided this is not tolerable behavior. So the signature has changed and the user has been warned.

I thought that was unacceptable from the beginning. Call me slow, but I raised the issue with the mods this morning and we've dealt with it.

I've long been a vocal opponent of making threads, signatures, or other public proclamations about members here (save for dedication threads, a show of support when someone might be ill, etc.). It just encourages gang behavior and Internet bullying.
