Had a heated argument with my mom about my "future". Apparently, she can't stand the sight of me doing nothing. And the things she wants me to do are things I have no interest in doing.

Do all sons grow up to be a disappointment to their parents?

No.

But it has more to do with the parents than the sons.

AMS: Asian mom syndrome. Whaddya gonna do? Asian moms are notorious for that. But they generally have good reason: in their societies, typically if you don't bust your ass off to climb over everyone else to the top of the heap, your life will have you stuck shoveling elephant dung in the streets with your tongue. That's life in Asia...

Watching The Boondocks on Netflix? (when did Netflix come to Europe?)
Netflix -- what a pile of elephant dung. I couldn't believe I had a free trial for a month of the online version, and their licensed material was so shoddy I ran out of things to watch in the first week and cancelled ahead of time.
