Pads in the NFL have gotten smaller because the fans want them or because of new materials that absorb the same strength and allow more movement?
That's not even close to the point I was making.:D

But no, I realize fans don't order the size of the pads. Players do wear less protection than they did in the past because they can be faster and move more freely. Technology has allowed for more movement among the pads they do wear, however statistics do show a trend of serious injury rising.

My point was that fans want a more exciting game.

individual sports tend to be pretty boring to watch
I was gagging on my coffee reading the Sunday New York Times, reading about all the so-called Jets fans who were bitching that Tim Tebow wasn't getting enough playing time. It was Elia all over again.

you can not watch too much seinfeld. stoopid.
Disagree. Season 7 and 8 were dreadfully bad.

Classes start tonight

I haven't had any formal education since 2005
Pole dancing class does not count, Dru.

yo know where i can cop a roasted whole lamb in the area?
Check with the Dallas chapter of the National Sheep Association -- they may put on an annual performance of The Diary of Anne Fraaaaaaaaaaaank.

I can honestly say that I never bought or wore any livestrong gear including those dumb ass bracelets.

On the other hand, I have heavily invested in Request jeans
Livestrong has always made me cringe, I actually feel rather vindicated now that it's proven he's a liar.

I don't get the correlation with Livestrong though. Doping didn't change the fact he fought cancer and started a foundation to help others. People did turn the gear into fashion accessories but still, to do that they had to donate money so if anything props to Lance for coming up with the idea.

Right, Kramer adopting a piece of the highway and setting Newman on fire was dreadful. The Soup Nazi sucked aswell I guess
Maybe I'm just thinking of 8. But I remember when it was on and thinking, "Cancel this bitch. The shark is jumped,"

Livestrong has always made me cringe, I actually feel rather vindicated now that it's proven he's a liar.
Ditto for me. I couldn't believe all the douches who suddenly came to work with rubber yellow wristbands like they joined some kind of gay cult.

It's the making a fashion out of cancer survival - and he never seemed genuine, as if it were for publicity instead of for good.

I have a mother-in-law slowly dying of cancer. I appreciate the support, but did it have to be so fixated on douchy status symbols and trite, Tony-Robbins-like power-for-life blathering?
