Oh, and here's my First World Problem of the day...

Last night Chris Cosentino, the head chef at the SF restaurant Incanto (yeah, a charm or spell to Italians, but "incontinence" to everyone else ;) ) won this season of Top Chef Masters. The restaurant is four blocks from my house.

Trouble is, my wife and I never make it that far, because two blocks away en route to Incanto there's a Sardinian restaurant we like even better. :pado:

How is that a problem? That's not even first world problems, that's more like 1% problems :D

It's a First World Problem in that we can jokingly whine, "So the winner of this year's TV competition for the nation's best professional chef is four blocks away, but we can never make it that far because we like the Italian food better two blocks away."

I think that falls out of the category of first world problem, 1% problem is a more fitting category :D . Lotsa people in the first world can't even complain about that because they couldn't afford eating at a place like that :D

And yeah, I'm done buzzkilling.

Are you new to this First World Problem concept?

e.g.: http://first-world-problems.com/

Because it doesn't sound like you get it yet.

(And for the record, both restaurants aren't cheap, but they are no where near the high-end places in terms of price ... entrees are typically around $20-25 US.)
