You gotta hand it to Queen. Some real musical genius in their time, but nobody has managed to unthrone them at sporting events in 30 years. Watching the Olympics, you still hear people playing "We Are The Champions" and "Another One Bites The Dust". That staying power is kind of amazing, actually.

Not many, if any, groups can lay claim to the fact that every member of the group has written a hit song.

Freddie Mercury- Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, We are the Champions, Bicycle Race, Crazy little thing called love

Brian May- Tie your Mother down, We will rock you, Fat Bottomed Girls, Flash's Theme, Hammer to Fall, I want it all

John Deacon- You're my Best Friend, Another one Bites the dust, I want to break free

Roger taylor- Radio GaGa, A kind of Magic

And they were all freaking astrophysicists and shit. ;)
Oh, they were all extremely brilliant, both artistically and intellectually.

I have basically everything they've ever done, and a ton of bootlegs and DVD's and videocassetes to boot.

It just absolutely killed me that they went out on tour with Paul Rodgers. I understand the need to create music, but that was just so wrong on so many levels. There was only one singer in his prime that could have come close to replacing Freddie, and that was George Michael

I fell in love with Queen because of the Highlander movies/series. It's because of that I can say that I celebrate Queen's catalog

Tell me about it.

I was mortified as an 18 year old when the sexual revolution had just started to shut itself down around that time.

I remember saying to myself "But I just got here a couple of years ago. What the Hell!?!?!?!?!"
And Eddie Murphy was doing stand-up where he'd ask the audience, "So what next? Does your deck just blow up?"
