since we're on teh subject check out the lineup for lollapalooza :D you'll be pleasantly surprised
The Black Keys... they were just on Workaholics as hipster douchebags.

But dang... Black Sabbath, Jack White, At The Drive-In (big reunion for those guys), Sigur Ros, Bloc Party, Calvin Harris, Miike Snow, M83, Die Fooking Antwoord, FIDLAR, etc. are all bands I'd go see independently.

Now imagining Gigi in the polo shirt coming to do my deliveries....
Is sex with keeper gloves a little like wearing oven mittens during the act?

Oh gawwwwd...

Some compatriots in professional circles implored me to watch Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's TED talk on flow.

As many of you know, I hate TED. I think it's faux intellectualism packaged into entertaining bite-sized chunks that make you believe you've learned something, when in reality you just watched a little dance of form over function. Performed largely to please a modern Roman Senate who wants to believe they're the world's upper echelon of sentient beings.

TED talks are like infographics for lecturers.

Naturally, I watched it and was not surprised ... I was bored to tears and thought it was more crap pop intellectualism.

I'm such a curmudgeon... :D

Acknowledge -- interesting choice of words, Red. ;)
I felt 'celebrate' would have been an exagerration, given that I was fairly indifferent about my own graduation.

Still, had one of the better plates of lasagne I've had outwith Italy.

Booted = drunk? :D
Nah.

Not in the habit of getting smashed with the family. :D

:touched: Justice at last.
Will it still be justice if they don't come to the conclusion you want them to?

God, I felt I was the only one who thought that. Thank you.

Can I see the certificate?
he just unveiled a plan that he's been hatching. borrow roughly 70.000 EU from various fast credit banks, withdraw all the money so he has it in cash, stash it in his car and drive to serbia where he'll dig it into the ground (i kid you not), then declare bankruptcy, go to court and let them slice up his pension income any way they want. Then he moves to serbia and lives off the money. He thought of it as a big "fuck you" to various banks.

Good thing my mom was there, she straightened him out with a swift combo of meaningful looks.

Jasper goes too far and generally fails to acknowlege that the UK is a comparatively good place to live.

Easier to say, of course, when I'm in one of the best bits of it.

Aberdeen, and surrounding area, and Edinburgh are normally rated as the wealthiest bits of the UK outside of London.

It's far better than most of the shitholes around the UK.
