So I watched the end, and I knew what was going to happen and how people took the ending. Does it make me an ass that I assume nothing bad happened and he continues attempting to evade a RICO case? There was a no build up to anything really, just a cut when his daughter walks in. I've read on fansites etc. this idea that David Chase had to spoon feed morality and that it was a semi-duty of him to re-enforce government/judicial morality....I assume based on the assumption that if Anthony get away with his crimes it will make an audience attempt the same? Is the concept of the Hypodermic Needle given credence in US (that it gets nowhere else in the world)? When I read that it was really depressing that people think that 'morality' still needs to be dictated by mediated authority.
